Digitalisation Index 2021: Still room for improvement in the logistics industry

The advance of digitalization is unstoppable - at least that's what you would think. The German economy made fundamental progress in 2021 compared to the previous year, as the study "Digitalization of the economy in Germany" shows.

However, the trend does not apply to everyone. The logistics sector is lagging behind the general trend: in a comparison by sector, it is among the worst performers with 70 points (with an average score of 100). Compared to 75 points in 2020, it even lost ground.

This is not least due to the companies themselves. Only just under 30% of service providers rely on strong digitalization, and not even a fifth network their processes with external partners. At SpediFux, we believe that modern logistics can do more. That is why we are already relying heavily on digital concepts to make our transportation simple and smart.
